Video, Music, and Search. Another Step Forward.

2026.04.17 Nordy Update

This update brings two video models, one music model, and a meaningful search upgrade. We didn’t plan it this way, but the combination ended up meaning something: you can now go from visuals to sound inside Nordy, without jumping between tools. Seedance 2.0 can render video with audio baked in, and ACE-Step XL lets you compose music separately to layer into your edits. More choice where it matters.

🎬 WAN 2.7

When you want to control the shot precisely

“I want the camera to start here and end there…”

WAN 2.7 is Alibaba’s latest open-source video model. What makes it stand out is a simple but powerful idea: you can specify the first and last frame. Prompting alone, you might run 20 generations before you land the shot you want. WAN 2.7 takes a lot of that trial and error away.

9-Grid storytelling — turn a 3×3 image grid into one connected sequence
Video-to-Video editing — change the background, lighting, or wardrobe on an existing clip via text. Motion stays intact.
Subject & voice reference — keep the same character’s appearance and voice consistent across scenes
Up to 15 seconds, 1080P output

WAN 2.7 rewards structured prompts — the more intentional you are, the better it gets. Best fit for storyboard-driven projects, or editing and restyling existing footage.

🎬 Seedance 2.0

When you want sound baked in from the start

“The video looks great, but now I have to sync audio separately…”

Seedance 2.0 is ByteDance’s newest model, and it’s currently #1 on the Arena leaderboard for both T2V and I2V. The real differentiator: audio is generated alongside the video in a single pass. Lip-sync, background music, ambient sound effects — all of it comes out already matched to what’s on screen. No more post-syncing.

Multi-shot narrative — one generation produces multiple cuts with natural transitions, up to 15 seconds
Strong on complex motion — sports, multi-subject interactions, collisions render more stably than most
Multimodal references — combine up to 9 images, 3 video clips, and 3 audio files in a single generation

Resolution tops out at 720P, so if you need broadcast-ready 1080P, WAN 2.7 is the better pick. Also, real-person and public-figure generation is restricted.

🎵 ACE-Step XL

Music for your videos, now on Nordy

“I made the video, but where do I get the background music?”

Until now, you could generate video on Nordy, but sourcing background music meant jumping to another tool. That gap bothered us.

We’ve added ACE-Step XL, the latest version of the open-source music generation model built by ACE Studio and StepFun. The upgrade to a 4B-parameter decoder is substantial — the team reports that it tops all 11 benchmark metrics, beating both commercial and open-source alternatives.

Text → Music — describe genre, mood, instrumentation, and the model composes a track
Multiple modes — Text2Music plus Cover (restyle an existing track), Repaint (regenerate a section), Extract, and Complete (finish an unfinished song)
Commercially usable — trained on legally licensed data, so generated music can be used commercially
Fine prompt control (CFG) — adjust how closely the output follows your prompt via guidance scale

Pair a Seedance 2.0 clip with a custom ACE-Step XL score and you can fine-tune the mood of a piece in ways that weren’t possible before.

🔍 Workflow & EasyApp Search Upgrade

Now it actually finds what you’re looking for

“If I don’t know the exact name, the search just doesn’t work…”

As the number of Workflows and EasyApps grew, the old search started to feel like it only worked if you already knew the exact title. You’d search for something close but not quite right, and get nothing useful. We heard that feedback clearly.

So we rebuilt the search logic.

Higher relevance — search now considers titles, descriptions, and categories, not just exact title matches. If you searched “anime” and only got results with “anime” literally in the title, that should be much better now.
Relevance sorting added — a new sort option surfaces the most relevant results at the top based on your search query
Applies to both Workflows and EasyApps

If you still hit cases where the right result doesn’t surface, please let us know. That feedback is exactly what the next iteration gets built from.

Final Thoughts

With this update, your creative flow inside Nordy can now span image → video → music without leaving the platform. We want to keep this pace going — surfacing the best new models as they appear, in each part of the pipeline.

This was one of our most requested features. You can now use Nordy right from your phone.

Payments are now much easier on mobile — subscribe with just a few taps
Run workflows, generate images and videos, manage assets — all from your phone
The UI adapts to your screen size, so everything feels comfortable even on smaller devices

Please note that the ComfyUI editor is PC only. Since the node-based editor isn’t suited for mobile, please use a desktop for ComfyUI work. On mobile, you can enjoy generation, asset management, payments, and everything else.
